Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation in STEM

LSAMP Students


There are currently about 100 Cal Poly students in the LSAMP program and they are enrolled in the following science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) majors: All engineering majors, animal science, architecture, biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, construction management, industrial technology, kinesiology, mathematics, and nutrition.

Some LSAMP students receive funding to participate in research projects and present their research via poster sessions at national conferences and at Cal Poly. Several students have received awards from the CSU-LSAMP Scholars Program and Community College Transfer Program.
